FAQs

Are your logs Ready to Burn certified?

Yes. Our firewood meets the Ready to Burn standard and has a moisture content below 20%, ensuring a cleaner and more efficient burn.

What type of wood do you supply?

We supply hardwood - Ash and Oak seasoned logs, naturally dried for reliable, consistent heat.

How big is a crate?

Each crate contains a large volume of 1.2m³ approx loose filled crate. If you require exact dimensions or volume, we can provide these on request.

Are the logs kiln-dried?

No. Our logs are naturally air-dried. This provides excellent burn quality while reducing environmental impact.

Do you offer free delivery?

Yes — delivery is free within 10 miles of Gamber. If you’re outside this area, please contact us for a delivery price.

Can I collect the logs instead of having them delivered?

Yes, collection can be arranged by appointment.

How long will delivery take?

Most deliveries are completed within 1 to 2 weeks. During peak winter months, please allow a little extra time.

Do you deliver multiple crates at once?

Yes. You can order multiple crates, and we can deliver them together.

Do you bring the crate to my chosen location?

We will tip the logs out of the crate at your delivery point. They can be stacked at an additional charge.

What size are the logs?

Our standard logs are cut to a length suitable for most wood burners and stoves. If you need a specific size, please ask.

How should I store the logs?

Store them in a well-ventilated area, ideally under cover, to maintain dryness and ensure the best burning performance.

Do the logs produce much smoke?

No. Because they’re under 20% moisture, they produce minimal smoke and burn efficiently.

What does it mean?

Ready to Burn wood means it's been certified for immediate use. It also burns better as it has a moisture content of less than 20%, so it burns with less smoke than wetter wood. In turn, this helps reduce pollution and improve air quality.
